Objective
Place diagonal mirrors to redirect a laser beam into the target sensor. Only diagonal mirrors are available, so the goal is finding the placement that redirects the beam through exactly the right sequence of turns to reach the target.
How to play
- Tap a cell to cycle through no mirror and the two diagonal mirror types.
- Watch the beam path update live as you place mirrors.
- Redirect the beam into the target cell to win.

About Reflex Beam
Reflex Beam is a laser puzzle on a five-by-five board. A beam fires from the emitter on the left side, and your task is to steer it into the target on the bottom row by placing diagonal mirrors. Tap any empty square to cycle between two mirror angles and no mirror at all, and watch the beam redraw itself instantly. It rewards a feel for angles and a bit of trial and error.
Tips and strategy
- Follow the beam cell by cell before you place anything. It starts moving to the right from the emitter, so you only have to decide where to turn it.
- Know your mirrors. For a beam moving right, a slash mirror turns it upward and a backslash mirror turns it downward.
- The target sits on the bottom row, so plan for the beam to travel down a column and arrive from above. Think about which single mirror could start that descent.
- Cells off the beam path can hold mirrors that do nothing, so keep your layout simple. Tap a mirror until the square clears to remove it.
- Use the live beam path as feedback. The highlighted squares show exactly where light goes, and Show a Solution gives a written hint when you need one.
What it exercises
Reflex Beam trains spatial reasoning and cause-and-effect thinking. You predict how a beam changes direction at each mirror, test an idea, and refine it using immediate visual feedback, which is a friendly way to practise geometry-style intuition. Each puzzle is quick to try, so it is easy to practise little and often.
Frequently asked questions
- How do the mirrors work in Reflex Beam?
- Tap a square once for a slash mirror, again for a backslash mirror, and a third time to remove it. A mirror reflects the beam by 90 degrees depending on its angle and the beam's direction.
- Where do the beam and target start?
- The emitter is on the left edge and fires to the right. The target is on the bottom row, and its column can change when you start a new puzzle.
- How do I win Reflex Beam?
- Place mirrors so the beam reaches the target square. The game detects it automatically and shows a success message. The emitter and target squares themselves cannot hold mirrors.

Bridges
Connect islands with bridges so each island's bridge count matches its number. A classic 'Hashiwokakero' logic puzzle — bridges can only run in straight horizontal or vertical lines and never cross, and every island must end up connected into one single network.
Light-Up
Place light bulbs so every white cell is illuminated, with walls blocking the light. A classic 'Akari' logic puzzle — no two bulbs may shine light on each other, and the goal is lighting every white cell using as few bulbs as the walls allow.

Classic Klondike solitaire — draw from the stock, build tableau columns down in alternating colors, and stack all 52 cards onto the four foundations by suit, Ace to King.
