Mind Skill Games — Sharpen Your Mind, One Game at a Time

Objective

Watch a sequence of colors flash, then tap them back in reverse order. Classic Simon-style memory game — the sequence gets one color longer each round, so recall has to stay sharp as it grows.

How to play

  1. Watch the sequence of colors flash one at a time.
  2. Once it stops, tap the colors back in the exact reverse order.
  3. Clear enough rounds in a row to win — the sequence gets longer each round.

About Chrono Recall

Chrono Recall flashes a run of colors on a grid of six buttons, then asks you to tap them back in reverse order. The sequence begins at four colors and grows by one each round, and three clean rounds win the game. Because the last color you saw must come first, you cannot simply echo what happened, which makes this twist on the Simon format a real workout for working memory.

Tips and strategy

  • Silently name each color as it flashes, such as red, blue, green. Words are easier to reverse than raw visual impressions.
  • Group the sequence into chunks of two or three. Reversing a few small chunks is easier than reversing one long string.
  • Start rehearsing the ending right away. The last flash is the first tap, so keep it freshest in your mind.
  • Colors can repeat inside a sequence, so listen to the count as well as the colors and tap every instance.
  • One wrong tap ends the run, so pause before each press. If you miss the flashes, use Replay Sequence while it is your turn to tap.

What it exercises

Chrono Recall stretches working memory and mental manipulation, because you must store a sequence and then reorder it. It also trains focused attention and chunking strategies, which are useful whenever you need to hold a short list in mind while you act on it.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I tap the colors in reverse in Chrono Recall?
Reversing makes the puzzle harder than simple repetition. The last color shown is the first one you tap, then you work backward to the first flash.
How many rounds are there in Chrono Recall?
You need to clear three rounds. The sequences contain four, five and then six colors, so each round adds one more flash to remember.
What happens if I tap the wrong color?
The game ends right away and shows a game over message. Press Restart to begin again from round one with a new sequence.
